Well the second book featuring DCI Carter, JD, Graham et al is coming along nicely. 6000 words in and already it has veered itself away from my original plans and has started to take a life of its own.
I love it when it does that, it is almost as if someone else has written it and I am just along for the ride.
The first three chapters are available here to read to give you a taster of what to expect.
Don't forget that the first book, 'One Piece At A Time' is available for download and in paperback through Amazon and other reputable bookstores. It has dropped from No 19 in the rankings of Crime/Kidnapping to No 48, but hey...it is in the top 100.
Please buy a copy if you can and help a new author to gain recognition.
I aim to update this little blog at least once a week...'One Week At A Time', hmmm, book title No 3 perhaps? And keep you updated with the goings on of my new work and pieces.
Also check out a little poem on Maleme airfield here. The poem is under the first paragraph...thank you.
The airfield was the scene of the German invasion of Crete in 1941 and was the birthplace for the RAF Regiment. Churchill declared that after the loss of this strategic airfield that the Royal Air Force should have it's own force to protect its airfields...so the RAF Regiment was formed.
The airfield is currently under threat as the Greek government wants to sell it on for development. There are many conflicting sides to the issue, with factions on either side arguing their point, I won't get into this one, but I do believe it should be up to the local people to decide what they want to do with the land and property at the airfield. It was taken from them in the first place, they should be able to decide the outcome...
